Beautiful statue of the birth of goddess Venus with shell. Venus of Milo is also called Aphrodite of Melos. It is thought that the sculptor Alexandros of Antiochia made the statue around 130 BC. The official statue can be admired in the Louvre in Paris. This beautiful replica is fully hand-cast. To accentuate the contours, the statue has been finished with a light patina.
